We have used Harvey and Clark for extensive and complex renovations of our house which have taken place over the last few years. We kept going back to them because we were always really pleased with the quality of their work, their professionalism and flexibility. Our old house is made of stone and the quality of Dave’s stonework is amazing – he is a true craftsman. One thing we found particularly good is how responsive they were to any questions or concerns we had, even turning up very quickly on a Saturday morning when we had a torrential storm halfway through one of the projects! We would definitely contact them first if we have any further work to do on the house.

Via our architects, we asked Harvey and Clark to bid for major remodelling of our house and were pleased to select them based on their bid. The build progressed and was completed according to plan, with a small delay outside of their control. This they worked around in an entirely professional manner. All staff and sub-contractors always treated us politely and respectfully – it was a real pleasure for us as novices in these matters. Wow, what a transformation!

Our tired 1965 pink bathroom and separate toilet has become an all-in-one wet room, white, gleaming and tastefully modernised.

From day one I felt we were in the hands of the experts and at each step the work progressed with care and professionalism. Each craftsman fulfilled his role, overseen regularly by Stuart maintaining high standards and showing us utmost consideration. We spoke to Harvey & Clark about a downstairs toilet/lobby extension to our property in May 2018. They put us in contact with a local architect who produced the necessary plans and liaised with South Derbyshire District Council Building Control. The project started in mid-July and took slightly longer than we originally anticipated as the depth of the footings was more than normal practice. Harvey & Clark took all this in their stride with the provision of additional equipment, concrete and labour. Not everything always went to plan but any problems were dealt with and corrected efficiently by the team. Special thanks to Gavin and Nathan who did the heavy labour during the really hot weather in July/August and Dan the joiner. The sub-contractors (roofers / electrician / plumbers / plasterer) who worked on the project were all very polite and professional. We are really pleased with the final outcome and would recommend Harvey & Clark for any building work.

Harvey and Clark carried out extensive renovation works to transform our detached property in Newton Solney into the home we desired.
